NAPLES (ITALPRESS) – An afternoon of riots and clashes broke out in Naples just hours before the Champions League match between Antonio Conte’s Azzurri and Sporting Lisbon.

In Piazza Municipio, specifically on Via Melisurgo, a group of Neapolitan fans clashed with some Portuguese supporters. Chairs and objects were thrown. Police intervened and escorted the Portuguese supporters to the Stazione Marittima. Law enforcement officers detained several individuals, who are now being checked at the police station. One Portuguese citizen was taken to the CTO hospital for treatment; his condition is not considered serious.
