Wirtz elected Germany’s Player of the Year

BERLIN (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – Florian Wirtz has been elected Germany’s Player of the Year. The 22-year-old German attacking midfielder, recently transferred from Bayer Leverkusen to Liverpool for a record fee of €115 million plus €18.5 million in bonuses, garnered 191 votes from the local sports press, clearly beating out Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, who came in second with 81 preferences.
