Different ways for Barcelona and Ter Stegen, possible loan for german goalkeeper

Different ways for Barcelona and Ter Stegen, possible loan for german goalkeeper

BARCELONA (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – The rift between Marc-André Ter Stegen and Barcelona has been healed, but the future of the German goalkeeper remains uncertain. The number 1 has fallen to new arrival Joan Garcia, the contract of Szczesny has been renewed, and in any case, Ter Stegen will not be able to return to the field before December.

And then what? According to “As,” it cannot be ruled out that the German goalkeeper could be loaned out: with the World Cup on the horizon, he needs to play consistently from January. Furthermore, his departure would allow Barça to keep Garcia on the list until the end of the season.

Donnarumma’s letter “Someone has decided I can no longer be part of PSG.”

Donnarumma’s letter “Someone has decided I can no longer be part of PSG.”

PARIS (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – “Special fans of Paris, from the first day I arrived, I gave my all, on and off the pitch, to earn my place and proudly defend the goal of Paris Saint-Germain. Unfortunately, someone has decided that I can no longer be part of this group and contribute to the team’s success. This decision leaves me disappointed and saddened.”

Thus begins a heartfelt letter, published on his social media profiles, by Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now out of the squad. PSG, with whom the Italian goalkeeper is tied to the final year of his contract, has set its sights on Frenchman Lucas Chevalier.

“I hope I’ll have the opportunity again to look the fans in the eyes at the Parc des Princes and say goodbye as you deserve. If that doesn’t happen, I want you to know that your support and affection have meant the world to me and I will never forget them. I will always carry in my heart the memory of the emotions I experienced, the magical nights, and of you, who made me feel at home,” Donnarumma added.

“To my teammates—my second family—thank you for every battle, every smile, and every moment we shared. You will always be my brothers. Playing for this club and living in this city has been an immense honor for me. Thank you, Paris,” the Italian goalkeeper concluded.

Morocco embassy denies allegations of stray dogs mistreatment

Morocco embassy denies allegations of stray dogs mistreatment

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Following the circulation of unfounded accusations regarding alleged mistreatment of stray dogs in Morocco — including claims of culling and poisoning — the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rome has stated that such allegations are baseless. According to a statement from the embassy, these claims are not aimed at protecting animal welfare, but are being used to damage Morocco’s image, which remains a leading tourist destination for millions of visitors worldwide.

In this regard, the embassy firmly rejects any explicit or implicit suggestion that decisions or measures have been taken to authorize or tolerate the mistreatment of animals, particularly stray dogs. It also outlined details of specific health and judicial measures in place to ensure animal welfare.

Morocco, the statement continues, has long been committed to addressing the complex issue of stray dogs in an effective, sustainable, and ethical manner, taking into account both public health and animal welfare concerns. Actions taken are based on respect for the national legal framework, international commitments, cultural heritage, scientific progress, and international best practices in animal welfare.

Since 2019, the national strategy has been based on the TNR (trap-neuter-release) method, which involves: capturing stray dogs by trained municipal agents; sterilizing, vaccinating, identifying, and providing veterinary treatment; and returning the animals to their original habitat.

From 2023, implementation has accelerated with the opening of facilities to house captured animals, the creation of several inter-municipal shelters, and plans to build five more shelters in major Moroccan cities by the end of 2025. This programme will later extend to about ten additional cities to achieve nationwide coverage.

The initiative includes a state investment of approximately 24 million US dollars, supplemented by contributions from local authorities. Periodic awareness campaigns, especially in schools, are promoted by the Ministry of Health, the National Food Safety Office (ONSSA), and municipal hygiene offices.

On July 10, 2025, the Government Council adopted a bill on the protection of stray animals and the prevention of related risks, now under parliamentary review. The proposed law aims to balance the protection and necessary care of stray animals, respect for their right to life, and the safety of citizens.

Moroccan courts regularly issue rulings in cases involving both animal mistreatment and liability for dog attacks. Public authorities remain fully open to cooperation with all national and international stakeholders genuinely committed to promoting animal welfare, public health, and safety.

Morata against Galatasaray “The club didn’t keep their word”

Morata against Galatasaray “The club didn’t keep their word”

COMO (ITALPRESS) – Alvaro Morata, Como‘s new striker, is attacking Galatasaray, after terminating his loan from AC Milan early. The former Rossoneri player thanks the Turkish fans “for the affection, warmth, and support you have shown me. You made me feel welcome from day one, and your support has been among the most extraordinary I have ever felt in my career.”

“Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about my experience with the club. There were times when my word and respect for their fundamental values were not kept,” Morata wrote on social media.

“The commitments made were not honored until the very end, to the point that I had no choice but to give up part of the salary and other contractual rights I had already earned through my work (the published figure is not exact). For me, in life and at work, there are principles that should never be broken, such as respect for everyone’s rights. Not recognizing and compensating for what I’ve earned is, for me, unacceptable and contrary to the values of fairness and professionalism in which I believe,” writes the Spanish national team center forward.

“I know these issues are often not discussed openly, but I believe it’s right to give the fans the true explanation of what happened. You and the city of Istanbul will always remain in my heart, and I wish you all the best, today and in the future. A special thank you also goes to the coach and his fantastic staff: I am sure that you will continue to write Galatasaray’s history. A heartfelt thank you to all my teammates for the moments we shared and to all the people who work at the training facilities,” Morata said.

Hamilton’s former F1 engineer Michael Sansoni joins Manchester United

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Manchester United strengthens its off-field team with the arrival of Michael Sansoni, a British engineer with over a decade at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team and Lewis Hamilton’s right-hand man in his later years.

This move was strongly supported by Red Devils boss Jim Ratcliffe. United’s co-owner, a Mercedes shareholder, aims to transfer the methods that have transformed the German team into a precision machine to football.

His goal is to radically modernize the club’s data analysis system, implementing high-precision methodologies and predictive analytics, thus improving scouting and planning activities.

“I’m very fortunate to have had not one, but two dream jobs,” Sansoni wrote on social media. “After a phenomenal season in Formula 1, it’s a privilege to be part of the best football club in the world.”

Donnarumma excluded from Psg Uefa Super Cup squad

Donnarumma excluded from Psg Uefa Super Cup squad

PARIS (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – Gianluigi Donnarumma has been excluded from PSG’s UEFA Super Cup squad. The news is confirmed: the European champion goalkeeper (with the national team in 2021 and with PSG in 2025) has not left Luis Enrique’s team for the match scheduled in Udine against Tottenham.

PSG arrives as holders of a Champions League victory, thanks in part to the amazing performance of their Italy captain, who is at odds with the club and is therefore out of the squad. Donnarumma, whose contract is expiring, risks a season of isolation at home in Paris, and his failure to be called up for tomorrow’s match is confirmation of this. However, there is new signing Lucas Chevalier, the French goalkeeper who is expected to replace Donnarumma.

This is the list of 20 for Udine: 2. Achraf Hakimi, 4. Lucas Beraldo, 5. Marquinhos, 7. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, 8. Fabian Ruiz, 9. Gonçalo Ramos, 10. Ousmane Dembélé, 14. Désiré Doué, 17. Vitinha, 19. Lee Kang-In, 21. Lucas Hernandez, 25. Nuno Mendes, 29. Bradley Barcola, 30. Lucas Chevalier, 33. Warren Zaïre-Emery, 39. Matvey Safonov, 43. Noham Kamara, 49. Ibrahim Mbaye, 51. Willian Pacho, 89. Man City celebrates Palermo “An incredible atmosphere”

Man City celebrates Palermo “An incredible atmosphere”

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – “It was a football trip that had everything: a beautiful city, an incredible atmosphere, a picturesque stadium and the warmest of welcomes. If anyone is looking for somewhere in Europe to spend a few days in welcoming surroundings and watch some football, look no further than Palermo”. Manchester City wrote this on their official website, celebrating the Sicilian city, which hosted the friendly between the Rosanero and the Citizens.

“The standout moment came when the Ultras, sat to our right in Curva Nord, unfurled their huge tifo just before kick-off. It featured Noel and Liam Gallagher, dressed in Palermo gear, with the words PALERMO FOREVER in the club’s iconic pink hue. They had requested the stadium DJ play the Oasis song Live Forever as they revealed their artwork – intended to send a message to Manchester City fans that they were welcome in Palermo”, it’s written on Club official website.

Malta, Unhcr Reducing Services due to Funds Shortages

Malta, Unhcr Reducing Services due to Funds Shortages

VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – The Malta office of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) is reducing some functions as the organization faces a severe funding shortage. While maintaining an operational presence in Malta, some support services—such as public relations—will now be managed by its regional office in Italy.

A spokesperson for UNHCR Malta said the new operational plan is still under review, but emphasized that core services for refugees and other persons of concern will continue. The reduction follows a global funding crisis affecting many humanitarian organizations, with UNHCR particularly hard hit. The agency has been operating in Malta since 2005, supporting asylum seekers and coordinating humanitarian initiatives. Globally, UNHCR requires $10.6 billion for 2025, but has so far raised only 23% of that amount.

The deficit has been exacerbated by severe cuts from the United States, historically the largest donor, which contributed 40% of funding last year. The budget squeeze has forced UNHCR to suspend or reduce programs worth $1.4 billion, including a 60% cut in emergency aid in countries such as Sudan, Myanmar, and Afghanistan. The agency has warned that up to 11.6 million displaced people risk losing access to vital support if governments do not increase their contributions.
