MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – CEO Khaldoon Al Mubarak addressed the fans prior to the Premier League independent commission’s verdict. Just hours after the League ruled Manchester City guilty of breaching financial regulations, CEO Ferran Soriano stepped in to reassure the club—specifically its employees.

“The entire matter with the Premier League is based on a false accusation: specifically, that our owners’ money was injected into the club via Abu Dhabi-based sponsors. This is simply not true,” Soriano explained in an internal video.

“We provided the Premier League commission with extensive evidence demonstrating our compliance with the rules. We submitted bank statements, money transfers, testimonies, and everything necessary to categorically prove that the funds did not originate from the ownership. Every baseless accusation leveled against us stems from this single, completely false claim. To our great surprise—and that of our legal team—after more than two years, the Premier League commission issued a finding that reinforces the view that the League itself is conspiring against us. They ignored the evidence provided by the club and reached an erroneous conclusion.”
