MADRID (SPAIN) (ITALPRESS) – Ferland Mendy has undergone surgery following a rupture of the rectus femoris tendon in his right leg, an injury suffered during the match against RCD Espanyol.

The operation, carried out in Lyon by Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet — a trusted surgeon for several French internationals such as Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema — was completely successful.

The estimated recovery time is around five months, and the full-back hopes to return to action for Real Madrid CF at the start of next season.
