LJUBLJANA (SLOVENIA) (ITALPRESS) – Slovenia is searching for a new coach. Matjaz Kek’s contract officially ended on sunday with the expiration of his contract: the Federation, in agreement with the 64-year-old coach himself, has decided not to extend his contract.

Slovenia, who finished third in Group B of the 2026 World Cup qualifications, are therefore turning the page: Kek, who was coach between 2007 and 2011, including participation in the World Cup in South Africa, returned in 2018 and subsequently qualified for Euro 2024.
