The first biogas power station in the capital of Montenegro for the production of electricity from waste, that is, from the biogas accumulated in the landfill of the municipality of Podgorica, is expected to be activated by the end of 2017. The power station, part of which has already been built, will cost EUR 2 million in total, and will be managed by a public-private partnership. The director of the Deponija landfill said to the local press that a tender for a feasibility and economic sustainability study will be issued soon.
