TUNISIA: IMF, GROWTH OF 3% IN 2018

The latest report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts that the growth rate in Tunisia will reach 3% in 2018, following the 2.3% of 2017. Growth in the first half of 2017 was 1.8%, driven mainly by agriculture and services, which grew by 3.8% each. Difficulties, however, for the non-industrial sector, which declined by 2.6%. The same IMF report indicates that the unemployment rate will rise from 13% in 2017, then fall to 12% in 2018. The inflation rate will be 4.8% in 2018, against 4.5% in 2017.
