Grealish set to be left out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad

Grealish set to be left out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad

MANCHESTER (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – The closing credits are rolling on the marriage between Jack Grealish and Manchester City. Paid 100 million pounds four summers ago, he started only seven games in the last Premier League, was left to watch in the FA Cup final and, according to the “Telegraph”, will be excluded from the list of players called up for the next Club World Cup.

Grealish finds himself at a crossroads: next year there is the World Cup and to find space with Tuchel he must play consistently. This is why it is easy to imagine a divorce at the end of the season, there is no shortage of teams in the Premier League interested but the main obstacle is represented by the salary. It is therefore difficult to find a permanent solution, the most concrete hypothesis is that he goes away on loan.

Neymar and CR7 dream for Fluminense, Bittencourt “We tried”

Neymar and CR7 dream for Fluminense, Bittencourt “We tried”

RIO DE JANEIRO (BRAZIL) (ITALPRESS) – Fluminense dreams big in view of the Club World Cup but has so far come away empty-handed. Mario Bittencourt, president of the Carioca club, revealed that he tried to sign both Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, but without success.

“It’s true, I made attempts to bring great players here – said the director, who in the past had already managed to bring Thiago Silva, Marcelo and Fred to Flu – Renato Gaucho spoke to Neymar, he was very kind and elegant but he told me to contact his father. First I spoke to the president of Santos, who authorized me to call Neymar’s father, who was also very kind. He didn’t close the door, then we spoke again with Neymar: he told me that he felt honored, flattered, that it would be a dream to play in the Club World Cup, but that his plan is to use this month to get back into shape”.

But Bittencourt also tried with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not yet renewed with Al Nassr. “He was very clear with me and told me that at this moment he is not interested in playing in Brazilian football,” the president of Fluminense said.

Malta to host Mediterranean Conference on sea levels and climate action

Malta to host Mediterranean Conference on sea levels and climate action

VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Malta will host a historic ministerial conference this coming September, bringing together Mediterranean countries for the first time to work on a regional plan addressing the risks posed by rising sea levels caused by climate change.

The announcement was made by Malta’s Minister for Environment and Energy, Miriam Dalli, during the MED9 meeting held in Slovenia, which gathered environment ministers from Mediterranean countries within the European Union.

The MED9 summit focused on key issues including climate resilience in the Mediterranean and ongoing efforts to position the region as a clean energy hub.

Speaking at the event, Minister Dalli highlighted the unique vulnerability of the Mediterranean, and particularly Malta, to the escalating threats of the climate crisis.

“Individual solutions are not enough. That is why we need a regional response based on solidarity and cooperation among all countries,” said Minister Dalli.

She emphasized that MED9 countries have the potential to lead by example, but that this can only be achieved if Mediterranean EU nations unite to advocate for tailored support and specific EU funding for the region.

The upcoming conference in Malta, which will be held in collaboration with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), aims to serve as a platform for open dialogue on both challenges and potential solutions. It is expected to contribute significantly to the development of flexible and region-specific climate policies.
