Maradona death Trial declared null and void

Maradona death Trial declared null and void

BUENOS AIRES (ARGENTINA) (ITALPRESS) – The trial into the death of Diego Armando Maradona, which occurred on November 25, 2020, has been declared null. The San Isidro court decided this after opening an investigation into judge Julieta Makintach, accused of having authorized the entry into the courtroom of two individuals linked to an audiovisual production company who were allegedly filming a documentary without the consent of the parties and in which the judge herself was allegedly involved.

Makintach would have facilitated the production of the documentary by allowing technical personnel to enter restricted areas of the court, thus compromising the regularity of the trial. For the other two judges, Maximiliano Savarino and Veronica Di Tommaso, the conduct of “Makintach has caused damage to the parties and to the judges of the court and invalidates the trial. We believe that the case should be discussed in another court”. A decision that, according to Clarin, has thrown Dalma and Gianinna Maradona into despair.

Liverpool, Salah “I can play until 40”

LIVERPOOL (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Fresh from a renewal and coming off a season with 29 goals and 18 assists in the league and cups culminating in the Premier League victory, 32-year-old Momo Salah still sees retirement a long way off. In an interview with “ON Sport”, the Egyptian striker admits that if he had not extended his contract with the Reds, which expires on June 30: “I would have gone to Saudi Arabia, but then we concluded the agreement with Liverpool. I don’t know what will happen, but I’m happy here in Liverpool and I’ll stay here for the next two years. After that I’ll see what to do”.

Saudi Arabia itself remains an option (“I’m still in contact”) but there will be time to think about an experience in the Middle East. “I think I can play until I’m 39 or 40. But if I feel the need to stop before then, I will. I’ve already achieved many goals”.

English media: “De Bruyne could stay in Premier League”

English media: “De Bruyne could stay in Premier League”

LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – There is optimism in Naples on the Kevin De Bruyne front but rumors are coming from England to the contrary. According to the newspaper “The Independent”, the 33-year-old Belgian, whose contract with Manchester City is expiring, had a 25-minute conversation with Aurelio De Laurentiis who, during the Scudetto celebrations, revealed that the player has already bought a villa in Naples.

But in reality the deal is far from over. De Bruyne, in particular, is waiting to understand who will be the coach of the Neapolitans and whether the Chicago Fire do not represent a real danger – the Belgian feels he can still play at a high level – beware of the possible temptation to stay in the Premier League, an option that the player has not yet ruled out.

Serbian Police delegation visits forestry Command

Serbian Police delegation visits forestry Command

ROME (ITALPRESS) – As part of the European Union integration project “Facility supporting Serbia in Achieving the Objectives of Chapter 24: justice, freedom and security”, on May 28 a delegation of officials from the Police of the Republic of Serbia visited the Carabinieri Command for Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Units (CUFAA).

Welcomed by General D. Massimo Zuccher, Chief of Staff, the group participated in a presentation of CUFAA’s areas of expertise, gaining insight into the Carabinieri’s specialized role in environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and food safety.

The visit also included a focus on the activities of the Wildfire Information Unit (NIAB), a flagship component of the Command in terms of wildfire crime prevention and enforcement, as well as the CITES Unit, which works to protect endangered animal and plant species and is involved in environmental and energy security activities.

The Serbian delegation expressed strong interest in the comprehensive information provided during the visit, especially since the Serbian police recently established a dedicated Environmental Crime and Protection Unit within the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior. The visit is part of a broader mission to Italy aimed at studying strategies to combat environmental crimes.

Within a broader international framework, the Carabinieri Command for Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Units frequently receives foreign institutional delegations, as the environmental specialization of the Carabinieri is considered one of the most efficient and widespread in the world.

Malta, Newcastle Disease detected in birds

Malta, Newcastle Disease detected in birds

LA VALLETTA (MALTA) (ITALPRESS/MNA) – Authorities in Malta have confirmed a localized outbreak of Virulent Newcastle Disease (VND) among birds, but stress that the situation is fully under control and poses no significant risk to the public. The Agriculture Ministry has assured the public that comprehensive measures to manage and eliminate the virus have already been implemented. These include enhanced biosecurity protocols, deep cleaning procedures, and ongoing monitoring of affected bird populations.

The outbreak is believed to be limited to poultry, though no specific locations or species have been disclosed at this stage. Virulent Newcastle Disease is a contagious viral infection that affects domestic and wild birds. However, veterinary experts note that outbreaks of this nature are not unusual and are effectively manageable with standard containment protocols. Importantly, the disease poses minimal risk to humans. In the rare event of human infection, symptoms are typically mild—such as flu-like effects or eye irritation—and fully treatable. No cases of human-to-human transmission have ever been recorded.
