MUNICH (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – “We are very lucky to be able to play the best match a team can face in a season and we will play it against another great team: it is a moment to enjoy”. Luis Enrique, coach of PSG, on the eve of the Champions League final against Inter at the Allianz Arena.

“Inter are a team that is a little different from the others, with two pure strikers like Lautaro and Thuram – continues the Spanish coach – Our objective is to prepare the match in the best way to take it to where we think we are strongest and for this we must have the ball. They know how to press very well, we have prepared all the possibilities: adapting to what the match will ask will be the key”.

The Champions League has been a taboo for the French so far. “I remember that at my presentation they said that the objective was to win important trophies and this is what is still missing – he continues – So there is an added pressure, there are many expectations but I live it with tranquility and awareness. I think the important thing is that we have come this far playing in a certain way and we must continue to do so”.

The fact that there are many young players in the squad is not a problem for Luis Enrique “because they have already played many knockout matches. I have never been afraid to risk young players, the best must play without thinking about age”. And on Donnarumma he comments: “The criticism? When someone is at the highest level, they know they will be criticized more. Gigio knows this, he is now an experienced man, I am happy with him as with everyone”.
