Controversy continues in England over the relationship between Manchester City and Prime Minister Burnham.

LONDON (ENGLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Controversy continues to swirl in England regarding the relationship between British politician Andy Burnham and the executives of Manchester City, a club accused of over 100 breaches of Premier League rules.
Burnham—who served as Mayor of Greater Manchester until June—had expressed concern over the possibility that the club’s Emirati owners might decide to sell, and had pledged to soon release details of his meetings with City’s management.
However, pending such clarifications, ‘The Sun’ has published further reports on the relationship between Emirati executive Khaldoon Al Mubarak and Burnham, alleging that the two met on several occasions in a luxury suite at the Etihad Stadium. Furthermore—and more seriously, according to the British tabloid—the politician reportedly accepted gifts funded by City with a total value of nearly £1,200 (approximately €1,400).
