ROSARIO (ARGENTINA) (ITALPRESS) – A 30-meter-long ‘Albiceleste’ jersey—featuring, naturally, the number 10 and the word “Gracias” (Thank You) on the back—marks the initiative launched by the city of Rosario just hours before Lionel Messi’s final match.

Tonight (Italian time), he will bid farewell to Argentina in a friendly against Benin in Buenos Aires. The city where the superstar was born and raised before moving to Barcelona decided to pay tribute to “El Diez” (The Number 10).

“Thank you, Captain. You gave us everything. You made us believe again, dream the impossible, and you gave us unforgettable moments that will stay with us for the rest of our lives,” reads the message accompanying the jersey.
