Nani returns to professional football, signs for Kazakh club

ROME (ITALPRESS) – One year after announcing his retirement, Nani is back on the pitch. The 39-year-old Portuguese forward, formerly with Sporting, Manchester United and Lazio, has signed for Kazakhstan’s Aktobe.

“I can’t wait to contribute to the growth of the club and of football in Kazakhstan,” Nani said at his unveiling.

Aktobe are currently fifth in the standings, 16 points behind league leaders Kairat. According to Marca, the Portuguese player will be the highest-paid footballer in the league, earning €60,000 per month.
